Gifts of appreciated stock are an easy and beneficial way to contribute to Talisman Therapeutic Riding. You receive credit for the full market value of the gift, and you avoid capital-gains tax on that stock. To ensure that we receive and properly acknowledge your stock gift, please take the following steps:

Ask your stockbroker or brokerage firm to make a direct electronic transfer of the stock certificates to Talisman Therapeutic Riding. Please contact Talisman Board Member Wayne Zussman to assist with the transfer at wzussman@gmail.com or 301-404-2248.
Please notify us as soon as your transfer instructions have been given to your broker and provide us with the name of the security or securities being transferred, the number of shares to be donated, and the name and phone number of your broker. This is important information to accurately track your gift in the transaction process and acknowledge your donation.
